In general, fisherman in Sungai Kakap that catch blue crab use folding trap made from net with bait from trash fish. However, most of fisherman that catch blue crab is from out side of this province. For instance; from Karawang and Indramayu West Java. The knowledge and skill level of fisherman to exercise the instrument of fish capture from Karawang and Indramayu mostly are better than local fisherman. This is why a lot of fisherman from other province come to this region just to seek and to catch blue crab in marine water of West Kalimantan.
The average of total volume of blue crab landed by fisherman in Sungai Kakap per day in peak season can achieve 1000 to 1500 kg which immediately enter to processing unit to be taken its meat.
